Arlington Park is the famous horse race track located in Arlington Heights, Illinois, suburb area of Metro Chicago. Chicago people love horse racing as a result once Chicago used to have to maximum number of horse race tracks among all metro cities of United States of America. Arlington Park was first opened in 1927 for public access. Since then there have been billions of dollars race in the park. In 1981 Arlington was the home of the world’s first million dollar thoroughbred race: The Arlington Million. Since 1927, Arlington Park has been providing and taking pride in public race entertainment. As a whole, it has been playing host to many of the sport’s greatest moments.
Chicago is well known for winter wonderland. Considering the winter facts, every year Arlington Park opens for racing from May 1st to September 27. Usually each Friday horse race will be on schedule along with parties. Currently Friday party is known as Miller Lite Party at Arlington Park. During this seasonal party, park features live music of popular bands. For families, Sundays are the best choice. During the season, every Sunday park offers family day activities including pony rides, face painters and many similar family friendly activities.

Operation Hours at Arlington Park:
- Open Every year between May – September: Wednesday-Thursday, first race 1:00 pm;
- Saturday-Sunday, first race at 1:00 pm;
- Friday first race at 2:30 pm. Post times subject to change. Special Holiday racing on Memorial Day and Labor Day.
- Closed May 1-June 30 and August 30- September 30: Monday-Wednesday. Closes September for the season.
Driving Direction to Arlington Park Horse Race Tracks:
From Chicago Downtown, take I-90 West. Merge onto IL-53 N toward NORTHWEST SUBURBS. Take the EAST EUCLID AVE exit and Merge on to W Euclid Ave.
Public Transportation:
Take Metra Union Pacific Northwest line from OTC – Olgilvie Station and exit at Arlington Park stop.
