Reza’s Restaurant Review:

The name of the restaurant gives away the kind of cuisine this place would offer, however, from the décor no one would be able to guess, Middle Eastern delicacies are served. The Reza’s restaurant is known for offering a combination of Persian, Middle-Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines. Since most of the dishes are prepared on open fire, therefore it is not unusual to find oneself surrounded by the delicious wafting aromas of kabobs and chops. If you are visiting the restaurant for lunch, you can try a succulent chicken kabob sandwich, lamb kabobs or beef kabob also known as Koubideh sandwich. You can teem up your sandwich with a garden salad or a Caesar salad with grilled chicken or an interesting appetizer like the highly recommended grilled mushrooms.

Those who prefer vegetarian delights must not give grilled potatoes and vegetable kabob a miss at Reza’s restaurant. Thick slices of potatoes are marinated in lemon pomegranate sauce and charbroiled till they turn juicy and tender. The vegetable kabobs are a mix of vegetables that are again barbequed on skewers and served with the chef’s special sauce. If you are planning to have dinner, you can always order one of these delicious appetizers accompanied by a choice of main entrees. Lamb chops are one of the most popular dishes that contain succulent loin chops topped with sautéed mushrooms or lamb kabobs where skewers of lamb pieces are served with grilled tomatoes.

At Raze’s restaurant, Chicken lovers can feast on Reza’s special delicacy of boneless chicken kabob accompanied with an assortment of grilled vegetables. Those who enjoy seafood in particular can opt for salmon kabob, considered to be a fish lover’s feast where white fish fillet is seasoned and then sautéed in olive oil. You can even opt for a combo dish, which would be a combination of two non-vegetarian dishes. Koubideh combo is one of the favorites, which offers a delectable combination of chicken kabobs and beef kabobs served with vegetables. All the entrees are served with fresh baked Persian bread, vegetarian soup and a choice of Persian white or dill rice. The choice of delicacies served at Reza’s restaurant in Chicago is truly exquisite and unique where every morsel promises to be a complete delight.

I was visiting from LA and my friends took me there for dinner. We found molds on their silverware and grease on dishes. Food did not taste right. They use mustard-green in their ghormeh-sabzi. The fish was fried in oil which did not smell right. May be at one time it was a good place to eat, but we came out of it quite disappointed.

      Hello Shabnam:

To my knowledge Reza’s restaurant has been a really good choice. I haven’t been there lately though. But sorry to hear that you had a bad time at Reza’s restaurant. Overall Reza’s restaurant is good but sometime due to staff change or some unexpected conditions customers experience bad service.
